Sagitta SGR is 100% owned by Europa Investimenti SpA (which is in turn 100% owned by Arrow Global Group).
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors of the SGR is composed of:
- Mr. Avv. Sido Bonfatti (Chairman)
Sido Bonfatti is a lawyer and a professor (of the Italian Bankruptcy Law) at the University of Modena. He has been Chairman of the BoD and board member of several Italian banks (Istituto Bancario Siciliano S.p.A., Banca Industriale Agricola di Radicena, Banca Provincia di Napoli, Finper, Banca dei Comuni Nolani, Banca Popolare San Marco Argentano, Euromobiliare Gestioni S.p.A., Credito Emiliano Lux S.p.A., Banca Popolare Andriese S.p.A., Banca di Latina, Banca del Garda, Banca Interprovinciale S.p.A., Banca Carim S.p.A.). Sido Bonfatti has also been professor of Italian Law at the law department of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, teaching also Commercial Law for more than 10 years. Since 2017 he has also been responsible for the Insovency Law program, held in English. He is the Chairman of the BoD of the SGR since May 2013.
- Mr. Federico Silva (Vice-Chairman)
Federico Silva is the Head of Business Development and Origination, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of Europa Investimenti S.p.A - the sole shareholder of Sagitta and the exclusive financial advisor for Arrow Global's funds in Italy. Additionally, Federico is a senior manager in the capital formation team responsible for international fundraising activities within the Arrow Global group.
Federico began his career in 2000 as a financial analyst at DGPA Srl, specializing in M&A operations for small and medium-sized Italian companies. He then moved to the consulting boutique Gallo & C. Spa in the Energy sector. After obtaining an MBA from the Stern School of Business in New York, he relocated to London and joined Bank of America as a Vice President in the Energy & Power team.
In 2006, he returned to Italy as Co-CEO of DGPA SGR, where he successfully concluded numerous private equity operations and investments. In 2010, he founded a small publishing house and a magazine dedicated to Golf.
At Sagitta, Federico has been appointed Vice President of the Board of Directors. - Mr. Claudio Nardone (CEO)
In Europa Investimenti since 2011, Claudio has been engaged in distressed M&A and investments in special sits and is now the CEO of Sagitta SGR. He has been responsible for some of the group's companies (Mediacontech, HDI, SBP, EICF…) and is currently in the BoD of other listed companies in Italy and abroad (Fintel Energia, Fintel Enerjia Doo). Before joining EI, Claudio has been the Head of IBD at Banca MB (an Italian merchant bank), an investment director at Meliorbanca Asset Management SGR, managing two PE funds (Star Venture Fund I and MeliorEquityFund) sponsored by Meliorbanca and also at Gallo&C. S.p.A., an advisory boutique. At the beginning of his career, Claudio worked in EY, Bax Global Inc. and Mc Donald’s Inc. Claudio holds a MSc in Finance from the Bocconi University.
- Mr. Alberto Manfroi (Independent Board Member)
Alberto Manfroi has been a partner in the law firm Atrigna & Partners for more than 10 years. He deals with the law of financial and banking markets, assisting banks and other players in relation to the study and implementation of transactions on financial instruments and more generally to financial regulation. Previously, he held the position of internal lawyer in several industrial and banking groups. He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of BG Saxo SIM S.p.A. and speaker at conferences related to his specialization.
- Mrs. Alessandra Bechi (Independent Board Member)
She is Deputy Director of AIFI (Italian Private Equity, Venture Capital and Private Debt Association). For AIFI she is also in charge of institutional activity, legislative proposals, and relationships with Italian regulators (Tax and Legal and Public Affairs Office). She is also Director of the Association’s Newsletter and CEO of AIFI Ricerca e Formazione. Since 2013 she is member of the Technical Committee for the Smart & Start Italy program of Invitalia. From 2011 to 2019 she has been Board Member of Incipit Campania; from 2006 to 2007 she was member of the Experts Group appointed by the European Commission, on “Removing obstacles to cross-border investments by venture capital funds” and from 2005 to 2007 she supported the project of a fund promoted by the Dipartimento per l’Innovazione e le Tecnologie dedicated to the digital venture capital investments in the South of Italy. Previously, she has been member of the Tax & Legal Committee EVCA (now Invest Europe). Graduated with full marks in Economia Politica at Bocconi University of Milan.
- Mr. Roberto Rondelli (Board Member)
Roberto Rondelli joined Europa Investimenti Group as Head of Going Concern Strategy in 2023. He has extensive experience in special situations investments, private equity, and turnarounds.
After starting his career in leading merchant banks and advisory firms in London and Milan, he joined KKR in 2015, where he contributed to the successful launch of Pillarstone, leading the origination and execution of significant investments in credit and turnaround and managing major portfolio companies.
Roberto was a permanent member of the Investment Committee, a member of Pillarstone’s Board of Directors, and held multiple board member positions in companies and investment vehicles.
Roberto holds a degree in Economics from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan and a Master in Economics and Finance from Warwick Business School.
In Sagitta he is a Board Member.
